One Saturday while shopping at Giant Eagle, we saw a young, skinny woman grocery shopping in her white sports bra with sweat pants! Yes, I stared at her. She must have thought she looked good and wanted to show off her bones or she wouldn’t go out in just a bra. I couldn’t believe she came to the store dressed like that. I expect to see women in sports bras if they are working out at a gym on a hot day, but not to shop. What do you think?
At Work
One of my co-workers was showing me the different nail polish her daughter put on for her. The littlest finger looked really ugly, like it was all chipped and she said “that’s the Crackle nail polish that is the latest trend.” I quit wearing nail polish because it always chipped and I would be embarrassed. Now they actually make nail polish to look chipped; can you believe it? What do you think of that?
Waiting at the bus stop during rush hour
Didn't get a picture of the guy, but that is the corner where he was. |
What strange things have you seen? I’d love to hear about them.

Some of the sports bras are not so bad... if they are thin and skimpy, that might be kind of offensive but many people wear them here in our neighborhood... some days I am tempted because it is so hot, but I won't.
crackle nail polish is stupid and ugly in any color. I thought that effect was for furniture.
changing clothes in public, wow. Never seen that. How shocking.
Have a bonkful day
I greatly dislike the skimpy clothes that women wear today. It's offensive and embarrassing.
Ugh, I feel the same way about the nail polish as you do.
I have to shake my head about the man on the corner. *sigh*
Our neighbor wears a sports bra all the time. Why I don't know since she's pretty much flat chested. No biggie.
Anything goes with nail polish anymore. Whatever.
Homeless are often drunk and just don't consider anything other than themselves. I've seen a homeless guy take a dump in downtown Modesto. I just laughed.
The world is full of crazy people. Come to California and you'll see stuff you never wanted to see.
Have a terrific day. :)
There's a big thing going on in Eugene about a lady wearing a bikini top to Wal-Mart and being asked to leave. I'd never think of wearing something skimpy to go get the mail let alone shopping! Here's the link to the story: http://www.kval.com/news/local/126289188.html
Think of all the crud that could get caught in those chips on the crackle polish and not be washed out. Yuck!
I have never seen anyone change clothes on a street corner before but be thankful all you saw was his butt crack! LOL
Pierro: It wasn't really a skimpy bra, everything was covered, but just the idea of going shopping in your underwear doesn't seem right to me. Glad someone agrees with me about the nail polish! What is a bonkful day like?
Rebecca: Thank you, I'm glad it's not just me that feels this way!
Sandee: I've heard California is full of wild people; I'm surprised you live there! Too crazy a place for me, don't expect I'll ever go there.
Beaded Tail: I checked the link--what a goofy woman! I think stores should have some dress code. Too bad people don't have sense enough to know what is appropriate for public and what isn't. Oh, I was glad he turned away from traffic at least!
A guy changing in public is a hilarious, and troubling thought. So awkward, I can't even imagine it. Thanks for not posting a picture of him :)
The crackle nail polish is supposed to have one color underneath and another crackled on top--so it is a cool effect. The teens are diggin' the new polish. Needless to say, so is my kid.
That is just wrong dressing like that and/or dressing in public. That guy must have been unbalanced or something--that is too weird. I also do not like guys without shirts. I don't care how built you are, nobody wants to see your naked chest.
Oh my word. Seeing a man change clothes in public? That's CRAZY!!! Your comment about it made me LAUGH, though! :-) There are some interesting people in this world, that's for sure!
