I know I should eat vegetables every day but I'm lazy. Many need to be cut up or cooked so that is the main reason why I don't eat them. They don't really fill me up either. Ready-made Salads are expensive! That's why my new best friend is the V8 100% vegetable juice! It tastes okay to me, like cold tomato soup, and one bottle is over half the daily vegetable requirement so I'll be drinking 2 bottles of that a day.
I've also started drinking green tea every day. I discovered that the green tea bags are milder and not quite as bad as the green tea from our machine at work. If I put a little lemon in it and some ice, then I can swallow it if I picture it attacking those Cancer cells. Fighting Cancer is a great motivator to eat healthier! Thanks for all those who prayed that I would acquire a taste for these drinks!

Karen, I've been afraid to try a V-8. I don't know why. Maybe it's my fear of cold tomato soup. So you think it's OK? Maybe I will give it a whirl. I think they have different flavors now, too.
You know what else is good? V8 Fusion Light. It's a combination of 9 vegetable and fruit juices, but it tastes like a fruit juice. My Mommeh likes Strawberry Bananer flavor.
I love tea! The V8 not so much! Green Tea is also good for losing weight. I don't drink it as often as I should (I drink Earl Gray with natural bergamot)when I used to drink it, it would cause me to lose my appetite.
Way to go Karen. I'm so very proud of you.
Have a terrific day. :)
Kathy: I just drink it at room temperature and it tastes okay to me, even pretty good, but then I like the tomato taste. My husband didn't like it at all, but then he's not big on tomato. He doesn't even care much for spaghetti or Lasagna. They have a variety of different flavors. I think the 100% vegetable ones tastes like tomato soup.
Daisy: I don't have a problem with fruit. I eat a banana about every day and now I have my pitted dried prunes and some fruit in my trail mix--yum! I quit drinking fruit juices because of the high sugar in them.
Jessica: I found out the green tea with Jasmine isn't as bad as the regular Japanese green tea. Maybe if I looked around, I'd find another that I'd even like better.
Sandee: LOL! Thanks!
That V8 stuff isn't too bad. I have it once in awhile.
I like the V8 V-Fusion-it tastes like fruit, but it has vegetable in it. Good for you for being able to drink green tea! [My Hubby LOVES it-me notsomuch.] Stopping by from SITS. =)

I'm sitting here after cleaning my entire kitchen (deep cleaning day) and having and iced cold glad of V8 low sodium vegetable juice. When I poured it I thought of you. Just thought I'd tell you that if you are drinking V8 vegetable juice then so am I.
Have a terrific day Karen. :)
I meant to say glass not glad. Geez.
I tried to replace vegetable portions with tomato juice (I don't like the taste of V8) and the excessive sodium started to offset the effort. Make sure that the sodium content is OK for you. I'm all for finding a way around veggies too! But I do like tomatoes, carrots and cukes.
Whispering Writer: I like it at room temperature. I've been drinking it twice a day.
MrsM: I saw the Fusion V8 too but it was higher in sugar and I do eat fruit more than veggies so as long as I like the 100% veggie on, might as well go with that. Can't say I like green tea either, but am forcing it down. I just bought some with blueberry in it so kind of anxious to see if it tastes better to me.
Sandee: Thanks for the support and for thinking of me!
The Bambles: I know it's kind of high in sodium but I really don't eat much salt and when I asked the nutritionist about it, she said considering I normally don't eat any vegetables, then it would be worth drinking it in spite of the high salt. I suppose the days I eat raw vegetables I could go with just one one bottle instead of two.
