Friday Fragments is hosted my Half-Past Kissin' Time for bloggers to post a list of short things on their minds that aren't really enough for a whole post. Here we go:
Funny Jokes
I found the funniest post of the week with funny jokes about children and teachers at Wrestling With Retirement's Saturday Silliness post. It's worth checking out if you want a laugh.
National Doughnut DayIndians Game
I went to the Indians 12:05 game Tuesday--a beautiful day for baseball! I was surprised to learn that out Designated Hitter--Johnny Damon only had a .152 average. That's pathetic; however, he did get on base. I'll be posting about it this coming week showing you a tip for making a visor to keep the sun out of your eyes. It's a Zork!
On my trip to Amish country, I saw a zork. Have you ever seen one? Do you even know what it is? Here is a picture of the one I saw. It's a mix between a horse and a zebra, looks like a horse, but has some black stripes like a zebra. I had three posts about my trip last week, just couldn't get everything into one post.Comments for Charity
For May, 50 cents per legitimate comment goes to Joni and Friends for family retreat scholarships for those having special needs children. We had 191 comments in May. Thanks to those who commented on our blogs we will donate $96. Our charity for June and July will the The Wounded Warrior Project which helps thousands of wounded warriors and their families as they return home from current conflicts.

That is one interesting looking animal!
National Doughnut Day?? That may be worth getting out of my jammies for to go to a local doughnut shop!
Visiting from Mrs. 4444.
I have never seen a Zork before. Interesting.
A Zork? Who knew!
And now I want a doughnut.
Oh right, just what I needed. Doughnut day!!
The Zork is really interesting. I never knew about that! And I'll check out the joke too. Since I can't have a doughnut! Good comment count!
I have seen a Zork!!! Pretty neat, huh? Congrats on your donation to Joni and Friends! Your cause for June and July sounds awesome!!! i will try to comment often!!!! Thanks, again, Karen, for the great idea !!
Never heard of a zork-- I thought they were called zorses. Everyone seems to have their own name for it, lol.
I tagged you for a meme, if you want to play. :)
I don't quite know why someone would cross a horse with a zebra but I guess I learned something new! Dang, I missed my doughnut today!
Wonder who named it a Zork. Hmmm, lets see - - - a Zeborse or how about a Horbra.
Mary: definitely worth it!
Wayne: I have never even seen one at the zoo.
Ann: Hope you liked the jokes as much as I did.
Beth Ann: Ah, you are one of the few who have seen a zork. Where did you see it? Appreciate your support by commenting regularly!
Rebecca: I never heard of zorses. Ha ha. I saw you tagged me and will probably do it but just not tag anyone because it's so time-consuming. I've really cut back on my computer time considerably.
Beaded Tail: Too bad you missed doughnut day. I don't know why anyone would cross a horse and zebra either--good question.
Keetha: I like Hobra.
My friend who does livestock hauling has transported lots of zorks. Seems they are becoming quite popular. She also got a huge, nasty bite from one - first time she's ever been bitten so although they are nice to look at, I don't think I'd ever want one. National Doughnut Day is a great thing!
Love your charity choice this month!
I also loved the cute kid/teacher jokes at SS.
Dang it! I missed National Doughnut Day!
Thanks for linking up, Karen :) Have a great weekend.
