Lunch Bag I Colored |
Gerard and I entered the Mission Possible Summer Reading Program at the library near us. This lunch bag was what I chose from the prize box for reading three books. We also got entries for a drawing for larger prizes at the end of the contest, but I thought the owl was cute and this is at least something I can use. I liked being able to color it myself too! There is supposed to be some Browns stuff in the prize box, but it hadn't come in yet. Gerard didn't choose anything from the prize box but just got all entry forms for the bigger prize drawing. The contest goes through August 11.
We were on vacation last week so I didn't get much reading done. So far, I've only read five books this month and Gerard has read six. How much reading do you do in the summer?
(We are donating 50 cents for each legitimate comment we receive on all our blogs during June and July to The Wounded Warrior Project which helps wounded warriors and their families returning from current conflicts.)

That's a really neat and useful lunch bag. A great idea for a give-away.
I've read nine books so far in June, but I can read in the car on long car trips, so I have an advantage. And retirement helps too. smile....
Like the prize a lot. Way cool.
My reading habits vary from time to time. When I'm reading a lot I can go through several books a weekend. Then I slow down, like now, to reading one or two a month.
Have a terrific day. :)
Ooooh, congrats on the big win!! Hope you get the REALLY big prize too!
I haven't been reading a whole lot lately--too busy. But I did read The Bloggess' new book and it was hilarious. Not for every audience, but I admit to laughing out loud while I was reading it.
I've read Doreen McGettigan's book, started a devotional by Katherine, and just started Coming of Age in Mississippi, which was a gift last year from Brainella (It's her favorite.) During the school year, I rarely read, but during the summer, I usually read two or three. Oh, and I'm also reading Lost at School: Why Our Kids with Behavioral Challenges Are Falling Through the Cracks and How We Can Help Them. I'm such a multi-tasker!
