Here are pictures of two trees I saw in our neighborhood while walking Abby. I thought it was very strange that the ground cover has climbed all the way up these two trees, even along the branches! Have you ever seen such a thing? I never knew ground cover could actually climb up a tree like this!

Hiding the navigation bar doesn't mean you remove it.. it means it doesn't show, unless you roll over it:) Check how mine is working and you'll get what I'm saying here:) Hope it helped and check back anytime for more Blogger help ;) Have a nice day!
Hi Karen,
My eyesight is not that good but it looks like ivy and that can take over the world. In the south, there are lots of climbing vines all over. Really beautiful.
I hope the plant is not STRANGLING the trees!
Where I live, I like seeing bromeliads growing on trees.
Any climbing plant will climb ANYTHING.
Have a terrific day. :)
Ivy grows like crazy out here and takes over trees and everything else. We have some in our backyard that we have to rip out every year and it keeps on coming back. Those are nice big, pretty trees in your neighborhood though!
Well, now. I've never seen anything like that before. I think the ivy is trying to eat the tree!
I work at a university and many of the 100-year-old buildings are almost swallowed up in ivy. Sometimes I wish they would take some of it down because it detracts from the beauty of the structures.
That is pretty interesting. I've seen buildings get covered in plant foliage like this...but never a tree. That is kind of cool, though. THanks for posting the pics :) :) :) Hugs from Oregon, Heather :) :)
I've heard that ivy will eventually kill the tree. The ivy will steal all the sunlight by covering the tree's leaves. It is pretty, but ivy can be so destructive!
Those are fairly common in the forest parts of the island where we live.
