Finally, the fireworks are over! I like to see the colors bursting in air, but I don’t like the noise, and neither does our dog. She wouldn’t even go for her walk because she was afraid of the sudden loud noises. When we went to bed on Sunday night, Abby would not stay on the floor because she was scared. We let her come on the bed with us even though it was hot. We didn’t get to sleep until after 10:30 p.m.
I saw some from our dining room window that looked like they were being fired off from just one street away when I closed our blinds. You would never know fireworks are illegal in our neighborhood. They started on Saturday night, then again on Sunday night pretty late. We tried going to bed but couldn’t get to sleep. It felt like we were in a war zone with gunfire going off and bombs. I am so glad we do not have this all the time. It gave me a little glimpse of what people face every day in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It's so sad how the animals react to fireworks since they have no idea what is going on. Angel hid in the closet all night and Sadie stuck to us like glue. It breaks my heart to see them so scared because there's nothing I can do to stop the scary noises.
I'm sorry your dog was scared. You and hubby Gerard are so cool to let your dog sleep with you on the bed. Yeah, it's a good thing fireworks aren't an everyday occurence. Have a great rest of the week!!!! Hugs, Heather :)
Oh we get that in Malaysia whenever there is any festival. Fireworks all around even though its illegal. Thank God our dog and my toddler is not afraid of the sound...
