Gerard's Top 10 Old TV Shows (Writer's Workshop)

Since we got so many comments on my list of TV shows, here are Gerard’s old favorites that he’d like to see make a comeback (some not so old):

Combat - Season 1, Campaign 1

Combat: This a a World War II drama. Karen used to watch it too!

Fame - The Complete First Season
Fame: I am enjoying watching the reruns.

The Carol Burnett Show - Collector's Edition, Vol. 1

The Carol Burnett Show: Loved the skits!  Remember the dentist one?

The Very Best of the Honeymooners

The Honeymooners: We have some episodes on a VHS tape that Karen did.

Gunsmoke - The First Season

Gunsmoke (Karen watched this one too!)

Seinfeld - Seasons 1 & 2

Seinfeld: This show always makes me laugh!

Gilmore Girls: The Complete First Season

Gilmore Girls:  We both liked Rory and Lorelei!  Also liked the theme song!

Army Wives: The Complete Third Season
Army Wives:  Always surprised it was over so fast!  We both liked this one!

Kid Nation Poster TV 27x40 Jonathan Karsh Morgan Wood Markelle Gay

Kid Nation: We both liked this one!  Couldn't believe parents would let their kids actually do this though!

Did you like any of these shows too?  What other shows did you like?

P.S.  I also like a bunch of other shows too:  Friday Night Lights, The Waltons, and The Little House On The Prairie.

The Carol Burnett show always made me laugh too! I was a latecomer in enjoying Seinfeld because I didn't get his humor but once I watched more regularly I got a kick out of that show.

I remember most of these. I'd like to see Gunsmoke. I've seen a few Gunsmoke reruns on tv. Also Gilmore Girls is a FAVORITE in my house...with my dad and I. We both weish they'd make a season 8 or a movie to make up for the ending of Season 7. Did you know that the writer Amy Sherman-Palladino and her hubby left after season 6. The writers from the tv show Everwood took over for Season 7...so the tone of the show changed a little bit...I'd love to see a Luke/Lorelai wedding :) :)

Greetings from Oregon, Heather :)

I remember all of those shows. I guess it means I'm growing old. Good choices.

Beaded Tail: Karen never watched Seinfeld until I introduced her to it after we were married. Even still laughed at the reruns!

Heather: We were always pulling for Luke and Lorelei to get married too. Didn't realize there was a change in writers, thanks for the information! Karen liked Rory with the Jess kid but I didn't think he was good enough for her.

Mountain Woman: Growing old just means we have more memories!
