We have had Manny two years now and he is a great man cat. I love him so much! He is quite affectionate and follows me around like a puppy dog. He will lay in the chair next to me and let me pet him while I am on the computer. It wasn't always this way though. Just as I predicted in this video, Manny has become my buddy and is "Mr. Nice Nice." Be sure to turn up the sound to hear Manny's "remarks."
When we first got him, he was very frightened and unhappy because we took him a a loving home quite abruptly. He was separated in one room away from Spunky Doodle for about two weeks. He used to hiss and growl at me every time I tried to pet him. Gerard didn't think it would ever work out, but I was determined and very patient. I sent a video to my friend who runs Kitten Krazy and she emailed me back with some good suggestions that I followed. Here's the link to the post "How To Make Friends With A New Cat."
Manny would love for you to visit his blog on his special Gotcha Day: Zemeks' Updates.

Happy Gotcha Day Manny! He wasn't a happy camper in the video but it's so wonderful that he's very happy in his furever home now! Patience certainly did pay off. He is such a handsome Mancat!
That's amazing, that he came around, but perhaps I shouldn't be so surprised. My roommate Boodie, I hear, was almost as bad when my human first brought her home. She's still shy, but she loves having attention from people she knows (especially if it involves treats or toys, of course!).
I don't think Manny's ears could have been flattened any further than that! We have an unfortunate situation in our cat house. Our eldest has never gotten along with the two new additions. She's 18 years old and is happy to be left alone. We have to supervise a lot when we're home and keep her in a room during the day by herself when we're at work. Sometimes certain cats just can't get along. I'm glad Manny came around.
Happy Gotcha Day, Manny! I'm glad you adjusted and got happy again!
Happy Gotcha Day Manny. You couldn't have found a better family and I'm so glad you're enjoying life now.
Meow! By the way, Karen, you and I must have similar schedules because we are always on SITS about the same time! :) Good morning!
