Friday Fragments is hosted my Half-Past Kissin' Time for bloggers to post a list of short things on their minds that aren't really enough for a whole post. Here we go:
Alternative Cooking
I heard of a new way to make a grilled cheese sandwich: turn the toaster on its side, insert two slices of bread, one with cheese on it and put them together when it pops out. I haven't tried this yet because I would think the cheese would get all over the toaster when it melted, but I may have to update my video: Making a Grilled Cheese Sandwich Without a Stove.Ambrosia
At my Sunday morning Bible study, I had a delicious treat called ambrosia and the best part is that it's easy enough for even me to make! Yes, I'm going to give it a try and will post about it. The main ingredient is whipped cream and all you do is mix in some pineapple chunks, pistachio pudding mix, marshmallows, chopped nuts, and some cherries if you like.Heart Attack Symptoms for Women
This is a humorous video with an important message:Find out how this video may have just saved a life at Go Red For Women. The symptoms are shortness of breath, nausea, chest pressure, aches, dizziness, and jaw pain. This video is probably how I would be. We put off calling 9-1-1 because we think it's nothing and we'll be fine.
Feeling Guilty
I keep telling myself that I do not have to post something every day, but when I don't, I feel a bit guilty. Especially when I have ideas in my mind about things I could do. I just don't always have the time. I could have done a good post with Mama Kat's prompt about a ride in a limo, but just didn't get to it in time. Thursday morning I linked up an old post about an Easter memory from our "My Funny Dad, Harry" blog (Easter was Great Except For the Stupid Hats) and spent some time tweaking the layout. The gadget with the links across the top wasn't letting me delete the one that is no longer working--what a waste of time that was! Then I didn't have time to visit my usual blog buddies.New Computer
I got a new computer at work--they replace them every three years! My new monitor is huge! At home, I am still using the emachine PC that I got for my dad in 2006. I hesitate getting a new one because I dread reloading all the software and I don't even know if my anti-virus program would be transferable. I feel so ignorant when it comes to technology now.Share this:

That sounds like cheese toast, not grilled cheese! lol I love both and may have to try that.
I think I will try that Grilled Cheese technique. Congratulations on your new computer.
I'd be nervous about putting cheese in a toaster, even on its side. We like extra cheese on our toasted cheese, so I'm sure it'd get messy (or Princess Nagger would try to make one like that and forget to lay the toaster on its side...heh!)
I've had Ambrosia before and love it! I don't know why I've never made it - might have to rectify that situation. ;)
Trust me, you're not alone in the guilt department - I used to post 7 days a week but it was getting to be too much, so now I'm down to 4 days a week, and still can't keep up with commenting and replying let alone clean the house! ;)
You're still working on a computer from 2006?? Must be a great one to not have completely died by now. ;) You'd be surprised how easy it is to load a new computer should you decide to allow yourself the pleasure. ;)
Pajama Day, Easter Snafu, April Fool’s Day for Friday Fragments Fun
Thank you for sharing that video!! My grandmother felt a tightness in her jaw that got to the hospital. She was having a heart attack. That same symptom got my father to the hospital before his attack became deadly. Great message!!! People ignore so much, I know I would.
Technology can be such a drain!! I can waste hours on layouts and coding too :-) If I was closer, I would offer to come help with all that :-)
Your video is so cute. I would be scared to put the toaster on its side!
The heart attack video is pretty shocking. I tend to ignore symptoms and I really need to stop doing that.
OMGoodness your pc is older than mine:)
With my luck the cheese would melt all over the toaster. It is pretty scary that we women tend to ignore the very symptoms that we shouldn't.
Have a great weekend and give yourself some slack life happens so don't guilt over missing a post.
We had jalapeno popper grilled cheese sandwiches tonight and I know they'd get all over a toaster but that technique might work with just a cheese slice. I used to feel guilty about not blogging every day but I'm just burning my candle at both ends lately and have to take breaks. It's rather freeing!
Oh, I would never, evr put cheese in the toaster.....sounds like a disaster!
I've seen that video before and am always conscious of the symptoms! So thanks for sharing that.
Have a wonderful, blessed Easter!
Technology is really hard to keep up with!
I'm glad I found time to stop by and read your fragments, Karen; I always learn something and/or am entertained. Thanks!
