Where's the Newspaper?

When we first signed up to get the newspaper again, I specifically asked for it to be put up on our porch by the front door. At first, it was there every morning. But now, I think the paper deliverer likes to play games with me because each morning the paper is in a different spot. One day it will be at the end of the porch, another day at the bottom of the steps, another day near our bushes at the side of the steps, another day on the walkway to the steps near the drive. Really, I don't get it. How hard is it to throw it by the door? or at least on the porch every day?

It used to annoy me but now I have begun to just accept it and look on it as my morning game of "Huckle, Buckle Beanstock!" It was a game we used to play sometimes as kids. Everyone would leave the room except for one person who hid a small object. Then everyone would come back and hunt for it. The first person who found it would call out "Huckle, Buckle, Beanstock!" and would get to hide it for the next round.

Daisy's mom here:
We just ordered the Kindle Reader, and it should be here in a few days. My husband gets the Wall Street Journal, and he's really excited about getting it for the reader instead of the big paper version. We'll see how it works!

At least it hasn't been on the roof or thru a window! LOL

Lol, Karen, good for you for deciding to look at it as a game. It doesn't do us any good to get mad about stuff, does it? Now if I could just get that through my own thick skull...

I got your message on Entrecard about not being able to leave a comment at my blog. Sorry it called you a spambot! It did that to me one day while I was logged in as admin. I was highly offended, lol. I believe it's a spam blocker I was using that does it (not the new theme). Since I got a new spam blocker last week, I've disabled the old one. Hopefully that has fixed the problem, but if you get called a spambot again, please let me know!

Well, they made such good money you would think they could put it where you want it. Perhaps you have a different delivery person? That happens a lot around here.

Have a terrific day. :)

Daisy--Gerard thinks he'd like one of the Kindle Readers. I considered getting him on for Christmas but they're so expensive, I decided against it. I think he would rather read from a book. I just think it would be easier on the eyes.

Mary--Yes, that's true!

Cindy--I try not to let little things steal my peace and joy. I figure if that's my biggest problem, I'm in great shape compared to others!

Sandee--No, it's the same delivery person. I really don't understand why it's seldom in the same place two days in a row.

Karen,

Maybe it would make you feel better if you knew we don't get any paper delivery because we are in such a rural area. I have to subscribe by mail and I LOVE newspapers.

It's great you've made a game of it.

That's a great way to start out the day...a cup of coffee and a quick round of "Huckle Buckle Beanstock". At least in this version you are rewarded with something to read instead of having to hide it again.
