On our early dog walk this morning, we came across a raccoon lying on the sidewalk! I couldn't tell if it was dead or just sleeping. He wasn't crushed and I didn't see any cuts or blood anywhere. What do you think? I hope he was just taking a snooze.

He may be a raccoon, but he's playing "possum" get it ๐๐
Ugh...I'd say he is sick or injured. Best to stay FAR from a situation like that. He could have rabies. I volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary and I know that this is not normal behavior. I hope no one was hurt going near this guy.
