Random Acts of Kindness

Who buys Girl Scout cookies to give away?  At work one of the attorneys surprised me with a couple boxes of Girl Scout cookies this week.  I kept the thin mints and work and brought the tag-a-longs home for my hubby.  He gave his secretary some boxes too!  I'm glad I cut back on my cookie buying this year since I got free ones anyway.

I received an email from my Women of Wonder group asking for donations for a family who is friends with one of our members.  Their house burned and they lost everything!  That is so sad and my heart goes out to them.  Tonight I sacrificed watching "Survivor" (DVR) and instead spent all evening packing up towels, glasses, bowls, bedding, and some kitchen gadgets to donate.  We have so much stuff that we never use.  Glad we had some bubble wrap and packing material on hand.

See Gerard, those boxes I saved up came in handy!

Have you been the recipient of a random act of kindness lately or have you done one?  Please tell us about it in a comment.

I love that your good karma keeps going around :)

I had Mr.4444 run a piece of my lasagna over to his mom's house this morning. Does that count?

there is nothing better than Random Acts of Kindness. I once bought a few groceries for an elderly gentleman standing behind me in grocery store, I had already begun checking out, he didn't have many items and I felt bad that he was waiting. (Had the cashier not already started ringing up my order I would have let him go ahead). Since I couldn't, I paid for his few items (there were only about 3)
I love the one where someone goes thru a fast food drive-thru and the person ahead of them surprises the car behind them by paying for their order!

The most recent was our Seafood Chowder feed that we put on for the members of our yacht club. We footed the bill for that and we do it because in the dead of winter we need something to do as a group. Everyone enjoys the day. We do lots of Random Acts of Kindness, and most we never tell anyone about. It's giving back.

Have a terrific day. ☺

That was very nice to receive boxes of girl scout cookies! It's wonderful you sent so much stuff to that family too and I'm sure they appreciate it greatly!

How sweet of him! Perhaps he felt guilted into buying several boxes by those sweet looking little girls? ;) But seriously, that was very sweet of him.
