It's Time For Operation Christmas Child by Spunky

Spunky Doodle helps

Every year around this time my mom brings home lots of stuff and packs them into a shoebox that will be sent to a child who doesn't get much for Christmas, usually a foreign country. I am helping inspect the items and making sure she doesn't send anything I want.

Spunky inspects all the items

We would like it if you would join us in this project by going to the Operation Christmas Child page of Samaritan's Purse where you can print a label for your box to designate if it is for a boy or girl and what age range. You can pay $7 for shipping it online and get your barcoded label to attach to your box and look for a drop off location nearby. Many churches participate in this including ours so my mom and dad just take our box there.

We need to get our boxes.

This is a very nice initiative. We do it here for the local children, there are lots where parents have not enough money for Christmas presents.

That is a great charitable idea. I will check out the link. And it is so nice to have some extra paws to help with wrapping.

Such a great cause! I have done shoeboxes for years and always made sure the boys had a part in it when they were home. One of my friends went on a mission trip with Samaritan's Purse and distributed them in Mexico---it was an incredible experience! Thanks for the reminder, Karen!

Our yacht club does this every year for needy kids in Rio Vista. It's called Christmas 94571. Each year we outdo the previous year. It's such a worthy cause. Good for you for doing this.

Have a terrific day. :)

It's wonderful you send gifts for the kids! We adopt a family from a local organization every year and buy presents for them and their parent - usually a single parent household. It's a great feeling to know that someone will have presents to open for Christmas!

That's a wonderful thing to do and you're a good inspector for your Mom! Thanks for letting us know about this.
