Our Favorite Childhood Recipes (Writer's Workshop)

I LOVED it when my mom would make Chef Boy-R-Dee pizza and then add tuna fish on top. When she baked it in the oven, the tuna would get a little brown. Boy was it good! So far I haven’t found any pizza place that uses tuna fish for a topping. It’s an Arlettaz original.  I tried adding tuna on take-out pizza but it just wasn't as good as mom's.

Gerard's favorite was ketchup sandwiches. That's right, very simple; two slices of bread with just ketchup on them. Did you ever try this?  It's good!

Do you have a favorite childhood recipe to share?

This post is in response to Mama Kat's Writers Workshop prompt: to share a favorite childhood recipe.

Tuna on pizza? That sounds interesting! Probably healthier than pepperoni! I posted a recipe too!

I don't really like ketchup, so i don't think I'd appreciate the sanwich. But the chef-Boy-R-Dee pizza? I loved those, and for the first time in like 20 years, just made one for my kids when I happened to see the kit in the store. I think I'll give the tuna fish on top a try..sounds like an interesting twist on a tuna melt.

I like tuna and I like pizza, but I'm thinkin' not together. Sorry. Favorite forever... peanut butter. I've had a pb sandwich probably 95% of my lunches since I was 5 years old. Yum...

One of the very best pizzas I ever had was a shrimp and mushroom pizza. Of course it probably had double cheese on the top. Nothing is hurt by a helping of double cheese.....

Wow, I have never heard of tuna fish as a topping! Yes, that's original! When I was a girl, I loved tuna. Now, not as much.

My son would have loved ketchup sandwiches as a little boy, lol! My brother used to make mustard sandwiches.

Have a great weekend. Thanks for playing "Find the Kitty" on my home blog. :) Livvy likes the attention.
