My Top 10 Excuses Not to Exercise

My top 10 excuses reasons not to exercise.

10. The doctor won’t let me! (This on no longer exists—yea!)

9. I have a sweatshirt or sweater on and will get too hot.

8. It’s too cold outside to bother going to the gym.

7. I might pick up germs at the gym.

6. I’d rather read and can't do it on a treadmill like some people do.

5. I don’t like feeling sore the next day.

4. I don’t want to lose any weight.

3. I’m too tired at night.

2. I’m too busy in the morning.

1. I’d rather be at the computer, blogging or reading blogs.

The point is, it boils down to choices. We all make choices based on what is important to us. I just need to make exercise a priority since it is most beneficial to my health, and that IS important to me! So . . . off to the gym I go!  By the way, I just discovered through Twitter a great fitness blog I am adding to my blog roll:  Fitness Prospector.com.  Maybe it will help me stay motivated.

Eep, I hardly ever exercise. In the summer, we renovate and do intense gardening... but during the winter, I am a lump!

I can't exercise right now since I had eye surgery on Monday. I sure wish I could though. I'm with you...we all need to keep moving. It's essential for good health.

Have a terrific day. :)

Those are all good reasons but like you said, we have to just make the time and do it. I don't like to exercise but it does make me feel better afterwards. That's hard to remember before I exercise though. :)

I love your excuses (I mean reasons). I think I've used a few of them in the past.

Happy New Year!

This reminds me of one of my Get Off the Couch columns- "Top 10 Reasons to Stay on the Couch" Pretty funny.

As soon as I have 10 funny columns collected they will be going in an ebook.

Yep, I can think of SO many of these. But I still make the (sometime difficult) choice to exercise anyway. :)
