Time To Get Scalped--Summer Weather Has Arrived In Cleveland!

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.--Matthew 10:30
I love that we have such a great God who knows us so well and is so attentive to details such as the number of hairs each person has each day! Amazing!!

I never really let my hair get very long but when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and was facing the possibility of maybe having to go through Chemo, I appreciated my hair more so just kept getting it trimmed, but letting it grow. It was down to my shoulders which is really the longest I ever had it. However, with the last couple of days reaching over 80 degrees, I'm ready to get it cut short again. It was especially getting on my nerves at night when I'd wake up with night sweats, so although I like having hair, it was time to get it cut short again. It really grows fast anyway. My cousin cut it for me Saturday. She asked me how I wanted it--all one length or layered and I picked layered. I told her I wanted it off my neck, out of my face and my ears had to be free. Hair over my ears really annoys me in the summer. So, I have my hair short and am ready for summer weather--bring it on!

What do you do to get ready for summer? Do you like your hair short or long better?

I love that you quoted scripture about a haircut. Awesome.

For a decade, I wore my hair short. But about five years ago a new stylist said to let my curly locks go long and that I would like it, despite having to struggle a bit to get out the door in the morning. Hair this thick and long doesn't want to dry fast.

I prefer it long, but like the ease of short.

The end.

My hair has been short for years. I prefer it that way. Easy to fix and not annoying during the hot summer months.

How do I get ready for summer? I put away all my winter clothes and shoes and bring out all my shorts and polo shirts along with all my great sandals. That's when I know it's summer. I've not done that yet, but hope to soon.

Have a terrific day and enjoy the ease of your short hair. :)

I wish I had a cousin who cut hair! I have to pay a hairdresser to do it. I like my hair longer. I wish it was curly like Kathy's, though!

I haven't had long hair for decades. Just can't stand it! Too hot already... not a good omen.

Wish I felt comfortable in short hair but I prefer mine long. I get ready for summer by spring cleaning especially cleaning windows so the view the blue sky is best.

This reminds me that I have to get a haircut. I look like a caveman right now. I like having short hair the most, but my mom liked us kids with long hair, so I grew up being used to having longer hair. Even though I like it shorter, I still forget to get it cut often enough.

Haircut looks nice and cool and short hair looks good on you Karen. I make sure my scooter is charged and turn on the AC :).

Karen,

You look so adorable. Ever since you wrote the comment on my blog about your haircut, I was hoping you'd share a picture of yours and you look darling.

I guess I don't do anything special to get ready for warmer weather. I washed my winter coat the other day to put it away and sure enough, it started snowing again and I had to pull it back out.

I guess my rituals have more to do with the farm, moving pastures, planting seeds but you and Mountain Man get your hair cut and that's really wonderful.
