Cats Rule--Here's Proof--The Ledge Is Theirs

We have a little ledge at the top of our hallway stairs where we had our doll collection displayed until Spunky Doodle kept knocking them off and they kept falling over the edge down the stairs.

So we moved them all off and put them in our extra bedroom. The only thing left on the ledge then was a little candle holder that has three cats on it. For a long time, the cats didn't bother it until one day, boom! It got pushed off and the one head broke.

Instead of putting it back on the ledge, I just put it on the bottom shelf of the table that's next to the ledge. We're not sure which cat pushed the candle off, but I think it was Manny since I saw him up there not too long before the crash. The cats really like to sit on this ledge because it's high over the hall steps, plus right near the hall window where they can look out.

Mission accomplished! Both cats are very proud of themselves for claiming this ledge as all theirs. Spunky blogged about this too. Click here for Spunky's Tip.

Yep, they always win don't they? I'm sorry one of your figurine cats lost its head. Could you glue it back on?

Manny looks just like our Lucky. Spunky's so cute, too!

I am sorry but I had to laugh and laugh because my entire house is arranged around my cats so as nothing more is broken. People come over and probably wonder why so many things are placed so oddly but at least they are still intact after so many others being broken. Sorry about your figurine!!!! Love your cat stories-they always make me smile!!

Mine are always into something, usually knocking everything off.

Our pet adoption here has a cat named Harry and I thought of you...http://www.citizen-times.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2009905250306&source=rss

Walking way up high on narrow ledges is very fun! But I'm sorry stuff got broken. I'm sure that was just a mistake.

Kathy: Yes, the cats always win for sure. I find them irresistible. I don't have much success with gluing things back together; I suppose I could give it a try. Usually its Gerard who breaks my stuff accidentally when he cleans. Do you just have one cat?

Heidi: Glad you like hearing about my cats and that I gave you a laugh. Have you checked out their blog yet? It seems like knocking things off places is one of their favorite past times.

Mary: I thought cats were supposed to be so graceful and not knock over things--apparently I'm wrong about this. Harry is a good name for that black cat; my dad would be honored. Hope he gets a good home soon!

Hey, I guess it's good he's already cleaning when he breaks stuff. Makes it real convenient to gather the mess up. We have three cats. And nothing broken so far (I probably just jinxed myself.)

Kathy: He does always clean everything up. Do your cats just lay around all day? Maybe they are just more graceful than mine!

Cats are always up on high, I have had many cats throughout my life and miss having the company of one currently.

Dragonblogger: It's time you get a cat then! I was so sad when we went to the animal shelter today and saw one there for 2 years waiting for a good home. It was a nice fluffy white and black cat that reminded us of our Moe.
