Washing up Every Morning by Spunky Doodle

Spunky is not afraid of water at all. She likes to watch it go down the drain and doesn't mind getting wet. She actually seemed to like being squirt with the squirt bottle when she was a kitten and we were trying to train her to stay off of the kitchen counter. As you can see from this video, we lost that battle!

Spunky wants me to tell my readers that if you like reading things about her and liked watching this video, you should see HERS and MANNY's blogs at Cat Corner-Meow at http://karen.pnn.com

There is a Happy Birthday Dad contest on "My Funny Dad, Harry" blog where you can win an autographed copy of my book if you are first to guess the price of the ad that ran in THE NEW YORK TIMES on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008. Why not jump on over there and enter a guess?

Spunky, you are so cute! I sometimes like to drink from the faucet, but I do not know how to drink from my paw. That is a good skill.

Aw, what a sweet little girl. We broke down and got a cat water fountain for our beloved Simone (not in Cat Heaven). We were afraid that she only liked the faucet and would shun this somewhat expensive new toy. But she loved it! She enjoyed just sitting next to it and meditating.

I guess she is an exception to the norm! :) Our Cat Norman hated it. Bless her soul, she's now in Cat heaven!

Spunky thanks you for commenting about her. She says she is now a star because the posts about her usually get more comments than ones about me.

Ruthi, thanks. Ana at Chica & Pumuckl designed this blog for me. Their ad is on my sidebar. If you click it, you will be taken right to their design blog.

Zen Ventures,
Each cat I've know has their own personality and set of likes and dislikes. Kind of like people! We can't just lump them all together.

Daisy,
I am surprised you don't know how to use your paw like that because you are very smart AND talented!

Skitto, Peanut & Chyanne,
I do not watch toilet bowl water. Karen keeps a lid on it so I can sit on it or use it as a launching pad to get up on the rack behind the toilet, but one day I jumped but the lid was loose and oops, I fell in! It was horrible!!! Karen was right there and rescued me right away, bu I was scaart. Since then, the lid's been fixed but I generally stay off it anyway, just to be safe.

Sandy and Jodi,
Thank you! I have many purrrfect days! Life is good!

JD,
We got one of the waterfall fountains for Christmas last year, but I only used it once and Moe died shortly after we got it and my people took it back to the store and got their money back.

It's always amazing to me that some cats really enjoy water. Spunky is just a wonderful, entertaining cat.

Mountain Woman,
Do you have any cats, barn cats perhaps? Maybe you should get a couple. They are very amusing!
