My Cats Don't Like It When I Get Home Late

Karen:  Look what you did, Spunky!  Spunky:  I'm sorry, mommy
Hi, Spunky Doodle here wanting to tell my side of the story.  See, we are on a very regular routine, supper is served between 6 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.  Earlier is okay with us, but not later!  Well, my mom got home late from work because there was a special free concert by the Cleveland orchestra on Public Square last week that caused a big traffic jam downtown.  My mommy's bus could not get through so it caused her to be an hour late getting home.

We were very hungry kitties so were glad our dad fed us at least so we didn't have to wait until 7 p.m. to eat.  We were still upset with mom though and stayed upstairs all evening instead of watching her at the computer.  She came up to say goodnight but I jumped at her and caught her off guard.  My tooth connected with her arm and when she pulled away, she had a big scratch mark that bled a little bit.  She said I hurt her and left.  I felt a bit bad then.  I really didn't mean to hurt her.

I let her know I forgave her for being late by joining her in the bed a bit later and she was happy to see me.  We are on good terms once again because neither of us hold a grudge.  Do you?

Join up with the cats on Tuesday blog hop if you have a cat (or are a cat blogger)! Also joining Monday Mischief a day late.

I am sure Spunky did not mean to harm you and I am glad you made up. You should be okay, but keep an eye on that bite mark for a few days - if it hurts past the initial happening, or if it starts looking angry in the least, have a doctor check it out. Cat bites can carry some nasty germs - actually worse than scratches, so it is always better to be safe than sorry.

I love how Spunky's all "Did I do that?" I'm glad you're friends again. But, really, Karen. You should have jumped off the bus and ran home. Feeding time is just so important!

Accidents happen and I would hold a grudge with you at all. Ever.

Have a terrific day. Scritches to all the babies. ☺

We're glad you made up with your mommy and we're sure she knew you didn't mean it. Accidents happen. Our mommy never gets mad at us either.

When the routine is broken, our fur babies dont exactly know how to act, but so glad you two made up.

Uh oh. Sometimes that happens. I'm sure it wasn't a "mean" bite, so all can be forgiven.

We have a feeder on a timer for such occasions. The only problem is the wet food, but the kitties can survive on dry if they have to.

That's the trouble with you cats, you have velvet paws and sometimes forget that there are also claws hidden inside ! You should tell your mom to put food for the whole day ! Cats have no watch, lol !
