Happy Tennis News For Me

When we played tennis for the first time this year about a month ago, I was very worried about my legs.  I couldn't run!  My right leg actually locked up on me when I tried and my left knee was hurting pretty bad.  I can't believe I still won because I could not move fast at all.  That's when I decided to check the side affects of the latest medication I was on:  Fosomax that is supposed to strengthen my bones.  Sure enough, joint pain and muscle pain were both listed as possible side affects.

I finally called the doctor and was told by his receptionist to discontinue taking it and see what happens.  I stopped taking it the Saturday of Memorial weekend and was thrilled to be able to play tennis the following weekend with no pain and could run again too!  I am so relieved and happy to still be able to play decent!

Side effects can sometimes be horrible. I'm glad you are pain free.

Have a terrific day. :)

One thing we discovered when my sister was being treated for breast cancer was that much of the information gathered about side effects is gathered by the suffering of the people who are taking the meds during the first few years.

Sad but true. No way to discover the long term effects until someone takes it for awhile.
