What 10 Things Would We Do If We Didn't Have To Work? (Writer's Workshop)

If we didn't have to work, the first five things we both would like to do are:

1) Volunteer at the Parma Animal Shelter.
2) Go to the gym to workout more early in the morning.
3) Join our Senior group at church for trips and luncheons.
4) Take more walks with each other and our dog, Abby.
5) Visit the zoo more.

Karen would also:

 6) Visit the Senior Center, Humana, and play games with other people.
 7) Maybe sell on Ebay again.
 8) Spend more time socializing—join a bowling or golf league.
 9) Get her filing cabinets cleaned out.
10) Get Abby certified as a Therapy dog and visit places with her.

Gerard would also::

 6) Sleep later in the morning and stay up later at night.
7) Watch his sporting events to the end!
 8) Do more reading and visit the library more.
 9) Spend more time working in the yard.
10) Watch an afternoon or morning movie.

What would you do if you didn't have to work?
This was one of Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop Prompts.

I work PT and on my days off I write, which is what I love to do. I think if I were to make time for it (which I could), I would do more sewing and maybe do some home improvement/decorating.

I really like your plans! I think your dog will make a great therapy canine.
Maybe one day we can go and play a round of golf. Promise I will listen to your voice mail :)

Nice post! I think I would probably do similar stuff, too. Although I'd probably, eventually find some kind of work to do.... I like to be busy and leisure time gets too dull after a while.

You two have great plans for when you don't have to work any more! I'd like to volunteer more but I don't know if I could at an animal shelter since I'd probably bring too many home! I'd love to travel too. There's a lot in this world I want to see!

Angie: Sounds like nice ways to spend your time!

Stasha: I think Abby would be a good therapy dog too; I'd really like to do this with her. Golf? sure!

Rebecca: I think my volunteering would keep me busy enough so that I wouldn't be bored. Gerard insists he would not get bored. Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Beaded Tail: I know what you mean about volunteering at the animal shelter--I'd probably have the same problem. Traveling doesn't appeal to me much which my pets are very happy about.
