Bye, Bye Pie!

When my husband got home from church Sunday, he found the pumpkin pie and my vitamin pill bottles and the cat treat bag on the floor! We have a pretty good idea of who did it:

Spunky says "How do you know it was me?"

Spunky Doodle must have become frustrated when she couldn’t get into the treat bag and decided to clear off the counter top! She’s such a Spunkster—that’s what I love about her! She is always entertaining and keeps me on my toes.  Spunky takes after Gerard--he likes clear tables and counters too!

Fortunately, the lid stayed on so we could still eat the pie and the pill lids were on tight so none fell out. Good thing because human pills can be toxic for pets.

So glad you've got a sense of humor; it helps when one lives with animals. We have a Rhodesian Ridgeback who likes to counter surf; she's pretty good at it too!

I LOVE the picture. And I love when cats sit on the absolute last bit of corner of a counter or table.

Spunky, next time, dig your paws into the pie. That way, it really messes with the humans.

Karen, did I ever tell you about the time that Lucky ruined an entire pizza? We just had it delivered, placed it on the kitchen island and opened the lid. Lucky decided to jump from the floor to the counter and landed dead center in a four-cheese pepperoni pie. He was licking his feet all afternoon. And then we had sandwiches.

Or she was mad because she was home alone. They can be so cantankerous at times. Glad you took it so well.

Have a terrific day. :)

Spunky, you're ornery! Our motto around here is if no one/kitty/dog got hurt then whatever happened is okay. Sounds like you feel the same way!

Pets are seriously like children. And is it me or do cats tend to be passive-aggressive?

Oh NO!! Be very careful with your pills--my aunt's dog got into my uncle's heart medication and nearly died!! They had to spend hundreds of dollars to save him. :(

And the PIE!!! NOOOOOO! :0 I'm glad you could still eat it. Bad kitty.

Thistle Cove Farm: Yes, our pets are a constant source of amusement; however, our dog has not jumped up on the table or counters yet!

Kathy: Oh yes, we always close the lid on our pizza boxes. I love Spunky Doodle and actually chose to bring her home with us because of her spunkiness. When I saw that tiny little kitty trying to climb the big tree on my dad's tree lawn, I was very impressed and she won my heart that day.

Sandee: Spunky doesn't mind being alone through the day. In fact, even when we are home, she''l often go somewhere else until bedtime. Then she snuggles in next to me on cold days.

Beaded Tail: Spunky says: "Of course--we are just amusing ourselves usually. I love to knock things down!"

Daisy: Spunky says: "Thank you very much!"

Traci: I think you are right on both counts.

Mike: Spunky Doodles likes to play with the twist ties too! Thanks for stopping by and taking time to comment, Mike!

Cat Chat: Spunky says: "Thanks, I try to live up to my great name!"

Karen says: Yes, I was very glad the caps on my vitamins were twisted on all the way and didn't come off. I know human pills are very dangerous for pets.

Lin: Yes, I know the pills was dangerous. Just glad the caps were screwed on tight on those. Fortunately, the pie lid was on tight too since we hadn't opened it yet. Even I have a hard time getting it off.

Sharkbytes: No worries, the lid stayed on just fine. For once I was glad they make those so hard to get off!
