4 Things We Learned This Week 38 of 2011 (exercise, fun, book, charity)

Exercises

I found some exercises that will help get rid of the love handles over at "Quick Moves To Get Rid Of Love Handles." They are the bicycle, Twisted decline sit-ups, side plank and rotating leg raises. Click on the link to go to the post for more detail.

Day of Play

When reading blogs this week, I learned that tomorrow, September 24, is Worldwide Day of Play! Yippee! I love to play! Here is the post I found that you may want to visit: 10 Activities to Help Celebrate the World Wide Day of Play .

Betty White

When I read Betty White's book, If You Ask Me (and, of course, you won't), I learned that she is 89; I had no idea she was nearly that old! She said she doesn't feel 89 and is still very active. She even did a TV series, "Hot In Cleveland." It's good to know that old age doesn't have to be miserable. I enjoyed this book very much. Click the link to read my review.

The Big Fun Box

Kristin at The Goat helped with The Big Fun Box project by packing some boxes that she posted about.  The Big Fun Box Foundation donates thousands of Big Fun Boxes each year to children who experience frequent and extended stays in pediatric hospitals across the country to provide them with a little fun and distraction.

I love your "things we've learned"! I just learned that my Tracfone won't work in Canada.

It's not like I expected it to, but it would have been a cool surprise...

I'm hoping my love handles will disappear as my fat melts away. Fond hope!

Betty White is so funny! She certainly doesn't look her age! She is a huge animal lover so I think she's fabulous!

Betty White is so popular right now. I wonder what she's done recently to get so much attention all of a sudden! LOL

I just got two new biographies, one about Abigail Adams and another about C.S. Lewis. Adams was a hoot, so I'm looking forward to the book. I love biographies!

What a great way to do a Friday post - great idea!

I love Betty White. She is so funny and such a good sport about her still being an actress at 89! I hope I can be that way at 89 - she's my idol!

I've been wanting to read Betty White's book, I'll have to go read your review. I was just talking to my sister today that I want to be an active 70-90 year old. Not creaky and grumpy and under-stimulated.

I love Betty White--she is so darn spunky for her age. I had no idea she was that old! She looks great, doesn't she?!
