Never Fear, We Aren't Starving!

We were glad we got such nice comments on Gerard's humorous Friday video post and were touched by the concern some showed by their comments.  If you haven't read the comments, you should.  As suggested by Rebecca, this is our follow-up post after we did our food shopping on Saturday to let you all know we really aren't starving.

pizza, salad, milk, V8 Fusion, peperoni cheese bread, cheese, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, yogurt, whole wheat bread, silk chocolate milk

We added more ice cream:  Turkey Hill's chocolate marshmallow, chocolate peanut butter and party cake.

Trail mix, V8 juice, 12 packs of gum (this should last us for 2 weeks), more cereal, more Fiber bars
We also have some bakery sitting on our counter too:  raspberry oat bars.  So, if you plan to visit us, it's best to come early in the week.  (We had peanut butter and jelly too on Friday, but Gerard forgot to show you that.)  If you missed seeing Gerard's video and want a laugh, it's just the post before this one.

How often do you grocery shop?  Do you pretty much get the same things every time?

Sure glad you have some food. Don't want anyone to go hungry. Why do you want a goat?? Talking about the commentathon. Take care.

When the garden is producing, I grocery shop a lot less. We're also raising a beef for the freezer so won't be buying beef for the next year. I also buy on sale...pork tenderloins on sale are economical, tasty and an impressive meal.

I, personally, never grocery shop, but Good Guy shops a few times each week----if we're running out of milk, or there's a produce sale he'll make extra trips.

But he's a "foodie" and he loves hanging out where there are groceries. Me? Not so much. As long as you have $$$ in your pocket in the USA, it's hard to starve or even work up a decent hunger.

Glad you're not starving.... What strikes me, however, is how organized your frig and cupboards are. I'll have to talk to HH about that.... It would be much easier to find the right thing to break into if she would organize her boxes better .... hee hee.

have a great day.

pawhugs, Max

I have that exact same refrigerator.

Ugh, this reminds me that I need to go grocery shopping. I shop for 6 plus 5 pets... you can imagine what a chore it is!

Glad you're not going to starve!!! And very glad to see you stocked up on ice cream. :D

Well that's better, but you still don't have a lot of food in my book. One good thing, you don't have things go bad the way you grocery shop. That's a good thing.

Have a terrific day. :)

We hope you got more kitty treats too! Our pantry, fridge and second freezer in the garage are full! We don't have to shop very often except for perishables like fruits and veggies and milk.

I shop when either the ice cream, Coke or veggies are all gone, but the fridge is never so completely empty. Om does his own shopping. I put it off as long as possible. I hate shopping.

I guess I'm used to having a lot of food in the house because of the kids. That and Joe does the shopping and he buys all kinds of stuff for our lunches and stuff. When there are four of us (2 of them kids), you have to have a wide variety of foods. If it was just Joe and I, I'm sure our fridge would look like yours at the end of the week as well!

Glad you are not starving! Stock up on those canned goods for an emergency though. I'm not sharing mine!! hee! hee!

Love to steal the contents of your refrigerator! Yummy! Mountain Man does all the grocery shopping. Now that we have our garden, he goes about twice a week but when we are in the middle of winter and need fresh produce he'll go every other day. I'm glad to be done with the grocery shopping chore.

Our freezer was totally empty a couple weeks ago, fridge not much better nor my stash of canned goods. I'd fed my boyfriend the last two Costco salmon patties and that was all she had to give. We pretty much keep junk food out of the house, but are more inclined to pick up junk out when there's nothing in the house to eat.
