There's A Snow Bunny On Our Porch!

I got inspired by Kathy's The Snow Thing post at the junk drawer and decided to try making a snow bunny of my own. My cats both sat on the dining room table cheering me on! Here is the snow bunny I made Sunday afternoon on our porch: I think his eyes are his best feature, but his ears aren't so bad either. After I got home after a hard day of work with my new assignment, I was saddened to see someone stole my bunnies eyes. Can you believe it?

The snow was very pretty on the trees when I was driving to church early this morning. I felt like I was on a country road and I wish I had my camera with me. by the time I went back in the afternoon to get a picture of the pretty trees covered with snow, it had melted. So sad. I am still trying to get in the habit of taking my camera along everywhere I go.

I am hoping we still have good snow for next Sunday when I have my boys over from my Sunday School class. We would play snow football and do some more snow sculptures. This is a picture of our front yard full of snow.

What are the bunny eyes made of? Maybe a hungry animal ate 'em all up!

Oh, Karen! It's lovely! And perfect. And bunny-like. Unlike, well, you know. The thing.

You did a great job. I'd like to think mine didn't turn out well because the snow was too powdery. Was yours a little on the slushy side? I knew I would never be able to form ears and have them keep their form with that kind of snow.

I'm a little bit jealous.

p.s. My show thing's head melted off yesterday. I found the ears laying on the snow, sad that they no longer had a head to rest on.

Sigh.

Cute snow bunny! We're sorry something happened to the eyes though.

Daisy beat me to it--I thought some animal snatched his yummy eyes! We've had an opossum here at night, munching on bird food and veggie scraps that Joe leaves out for him. I think they are looking for food under all of the snow.

Daisy & Lin: I hope an animal didn't eat them because they were black marbles!

Kathy: It was a wet snow when I made my bunny and you gave me the inspiration! Sad your bunny lost its head. I was pretty pleased with how mine turned out.

Beaded Tail: Thanks.
