Ice Cubes Come In Handy For Carpets

From moving our furniture around when we had our insulation installed, there were little dents in the carpet where some of our heavier pieces were. I put an ice cube on the dent and waited for it to melt, hoping the cats wouldn't hit it off. As soon as I put down the ice cubes, the cats came to see what was going on. The dent was still there. I tried it again, this time completely following the directions which include dabbing it with a paper towel after it melted and then vacuuming over the spot. It revived the carpet fibers and the dent is gone!
I got this tip from Modern Mom.

I didn't know this about getting dents out of carpet - thanks for the tip! And isn't it fun how our kitties always have to snoopervise what we're doing!

Daisy: That's interesting. We don't even have one of those.
