Shelves My Dad Made

Shelves provide a lot of extra storage space which my dad was always in need of. I created this little slideshow to share all the different shelves he made and had this on my sidebar (I did forget some). Now that I have the link within plug-in activated, I thought it would be a good idea to make a post about this and remove it from my sidebar in an effort to improve load time for my blog. I hope this helps and plan to do some more like this.

A husband, brother or Dad who loves to build things is a true treasure! And how nice for you that you have all those wonderful things your Dad made as constant reminders of him.

What Carole said. One of my dads favorite shirts hangs in my closet. I touch it often.

Have a terrific day. :)

I have no talent when it comes to building things, but I do admire a nice set of shelves especially those with glass doors for easy viewing.

I don't dare take a picture of my office and post that online. I'm usually very organized, but I'm having a messy moment!

Carole--Yes, it's so nice to see my dad's (and mom's) handiwork all through my house. I feel bad for Gerard though because he really doesn't have anything made by his parents. I'm so glad I do!

Sandee--That's good you have at least one of your dad's shirts. I kept quite a few that my husband and I both wear. In fact, I am wearing one of them in that picture at the top right corner of this blog holding Manny. He had quite a few of those L. L. Bean shirts and also a lot of flannel ones too.

Matt--My husband doesn't build things either. He not being able to repair things was one of the big adjustments for me when we got married because I was used to my dad being able to fix anything or make anything.

You could do a post about your messy office like I did about not emptying my garbage can.
